Opening with a succession of supple ivory silk dresses sprayed with tiny pink roses and belted around the waist with mauve leather corsets, the ladies of Gharani Strok proclaimed that frou-frou innocence is here to stay. Nevertheless, while the dynamic duo’s flowing baby doll inspired pieces, romantic sheer chiffon blouses, and darling floral print ensembles (reminiscent of Finnish folkloric costumes) kept the overall feel of the collection wispy and light, the omnipresence of  heavy fur creations on the catwalk reminded the viewers of piercing winter colds. This season Gharini Strok’s remedy to fighting off freezing temperatures is to luxuriate in opulent mink coats and lush rabbit jackets bound with buckled girdles.

In the fall Gharani Strok’s crowd-favorite silk-chiffon dresses characterized by metallic embellishments, sequins, beads, frills, ruffles and plunging necklines will play the part of hidden treasures; waiting to be discovered underneath the lavish sumptuousness of furs. Lovely gloves, plush hats and exquisite berets will complete the overall couture snow bunny look.
