We have an exciting November of Fashionlines stories. Rogerio Mesquita, our São Paulo Editor photographed our new editorial “A Day in the Life of Victoria—Hollywood’s Latest It Girl”. In the chicest clothes of the season, we follow Victoria throughout her fashion day as she speeds from appointment to appointment. Needless to say, we took a tongue in cheek attitude to a print magazine concept we have seen overdone, and given it some fantasy and humor (like try getting from a tea in Pasadena back to Beverly Hills in fifteen minutes during rush hour!) We also begin a new feature called “Snapshots From Paris”. Paris and Japan-based Alexandra Gaita photographs fashion-savvy girls and boys on the streets of Paris and gives us the details of what they are wearing. Check out Dita Von Teese, the burlesque queen. You will be seeing more of her, as she has become an icon for irreverent and somewhat cynical fashionistas. For Fashionlines, she is just another cool looking girl on the street.

We have “discovered” a wonderful 25 year old artist who works in Brooklyn. Caroline Mak studied marine biology and it shows in her work --she considers each installation an autonomous system that is capable of producing its own organization. Our favorites include the delicate, lacy-like “seaweed”.

Sedef Kokcuoglu and Rogerio covered Los Angeles Fashion Week and you will be seeing the continuation of beauty, LA Finds and celebrities they encountered.

Enjoy a fashionable autumn.
