Los Angeles Fashion Week is a star studded affair indeed! Each season, LA’s gifted designers attract a long list of big screen icons, heart throbs, and music demigods to the front row.  For a brief moment, these larger than life stars play the role of the “fan”, whole heartedly applauding the genius of cut and construction.

In the midst of the glitz and glamour, lingering moments of beauty hang in the air. The camera captivates these snapshots, so that they may outlive the fleeting and survive the immediate. Here are some celebrity images our lens captured during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Smashbox.

LA’s It-Girl: Jenni’s shows shine with more stars than a constellation. Along with Tinsel Town’s young aristocrats, household names like Jewel, Michael Keaton, Rachel Bilson, and Carolyn Murphy flock to see the young talent’s brilliant creations.

Los Angeles’ couturier to the mega-stars hosts the biggest names in movies, music, and fashion. This inspired designer, renowned for tailoring the best retro suits, outfits Madonna, Cate Blanchett, and Maria Bello. Mr. Verdad’s front row line up is just as impressive as his list of clientele. This season, Louis’ show, featuring a stunning collection inspired by controversial painter Frida Kahlo, attracted Anna Wintour, Rachel Griffiths, and Garcelle Beauvais.

Petro Zillia’s Nony Tochterman always puts on a good show. Opening with a troupe of gold-lamé hot-pant clad dancers (a nod to the age of disco) choreographed by Paula Abdul, LA’s bellowed pink haired Nony set the mood for an exuberant celebration. With adoring enthusiasts Tiffany Amber Thiesen, Dominique Swain, and Haylie Duff looking on, the Petro Zillia show awed and entertained LA’s avid fashionistas.

Sue Wong’s name resonates with luxurious opulence. Just like the designer’s intricately embellished lush gowns, her guests never cease to stun. All clad in Sue Wong ensembles, guests Kiera Chaplin, Tara Lipinsky, and Daisy Fuentes were an aesthetic delight.

Los Angeles Fashion Week is surely a magnet for VIPs. Showing up to cheer for their favorite designers, these famous faces use their star power to support talent.
