PARIS, October 7, 2006 - Tiers of black and white ting-ting, florescent pink and yellow stilettos, black and white tiger print dresses - that's how Junko Shimada opened her eclectic show. Outer layers of tulle were dusted with tiny pink flowers, even as cascades of plastic ruffles fell from skirts and stoles of runched chiffon wound the neckline. One sleek cocktail dress in Prince of Wales check was split down the bodice and tied up at the waist with a bow. Junko Shimada gets thumbs up for creativity.
