 A somber palette and an undeniably streamlined silhouette were the hallmarks of Red Carpet Superstar Elie Saab's Autumn-Winter 2006-7 presentation. Always one of the last shows (only Carven followed this season), Saab's defile is also known as the runway with the most beautiful girls. This designer is not into freaking out his clients or potential clients with a gory history lesson (like Dior), a spooky sex story (like sometimes at Gaultier), or making women look ugly (devastatingly, at Givenchy). This is why Elie Saab is not only one of the most well-liked couturiers, but one of the biggest sellers. As in competitive sports like tennis, it's who wins which matters, not what cool outfit a player is wearing.
