Leonard

PARIS, October 5, 2006 - The House of Leonard is something of a Paris icon, having now turned out print only collections for over a half century. Thursday's show was a lesson in how to update the theme by playing with volume, adding rounded sleeves and puffy epaulettes, even trying a sequined approach for evening (Evening swimwear was a new entrée on the menu). Among the new designs this season were peach terry cloth dresses scattered with orange flowers and violet organza dresses embroidered with striped cream and mauve sequins. The soundtrack sang out "be gentle with me and I'll be gentle with you", which just about perfectly captured the moment.
