Guy Laroche

PARIS, October 7, 2006 - The House of Guy Laroche is currently without an artisti director, so the spring collection was created in house by atelier staff. An indigo trench, a fluttering turquoise chiffon dress, a mousseline gown split into two colors - the language of previous seasons was evident, and the interim team did a convincing job of putting the show together. The look was succinct, if a bit ersatz. To the solid colors, a touch of fringe here and there, panels of glistening sequins, and hemlines shredded into strands acted like ornaments. One lovely sea foam-green dress looked light enough to float away.
