Kenzo
PARIS, October 7, 2006 - Kenzo's shows have become synonymous with dramatic
presentation since the arrival of Antonio Maras, and this season he set up
sand dunes along the catwalk to frame an energetic collection reaching to
Arabia for inspiration. Stripes, colorful African prints, bright splashes of
polka dots and sprinkles of sequins all combined to give an eclectic and
exotic finish to the pieces. Some models wore satin turbans, while others
came heads uncovered. The selection of micro bathing suits shown midway most
assuredly would be banned in Riyadh, or at least put behind high walled
compounds. Of the prism of colors that streamed along the runway, the shades
of emerald were exquisite.
