tdink's first fashion walkoff

HOLLYWOOD, October 20th, 2006 - Andy Dick (dressed in a Howe Couture Suit) & Niki Shadrow (dressed in Lloyd Klein Couture) hosted this underground event at the Submerged Art Gallery, a perfect way of wrapping up LA Fashion week. For the first time ever, models from Project Runway, America's Next Top Model and The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency walked off against each other to Zoolander-esque music from the 80s and 90s.

WHO: Celebrities in attendance included hosts Andy Dick (comedian), JoJo (Universal platinum recording artist), Aly and AJ Michalka (pop music duo), Bai Ling, Kimberly Caldwell (American Idol), Anna Chudoba (The Average Joe), Jason Davis (personality), Mathew Fashion (Fashion Personality), Carlos Ramirez (The Boys & Girls Guide to Getting Down), Dominique Swain (Lolita), Lesa Amoore (Vogue covergirl), Jenny McShane (Monsoon), Sam Sarpong (MTV's Yo- Momma), Michael Copon (One Tree Hill), Rachel Sterling (The Wedding Crashers), and Nzinga Blake (of Current TV).

The evening began with an opening dance number (choreographed by Florido Basallo) to "Beat It"(dancers were wearing Elmer Ave). The walkoffs began with Stina from the Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency and Julia from Project Runway. Models strutted down the catwalk in Maggie Barry, San Paredes, Elijah Linh & Elmer Ave with fierce attitudes, stunning bodies and a walk to die for.

Carlos Ramirez introduced the surprise celebrity walkoffs, which included American Idol finalist Kimberly Caldwell and The Average Joe's Anna Chudoba, who were battling it on the runway with the most darling little puppies. One Tree Hill's Michael Copon walked off against MTV's Sam Sarpong, and they were both able to pull their underwear out from their pants. Dominique Swain (Lolita) walked off against none other than Vogue covergirl Lesa Amoore, with the final walkoff of the night featuring pop music sensations Aly & AJ Michalka. The two only underaged walkers of the night were dressed to kill in Film Punks originals.

The Maggie Barry "Spring into Military Collection" featured an array of army-inspired dresses for the new season. Vintage silk parachute gowns made of army surplus were paired against leather and stretched satin crocodile and bra dresses. Long gown and short bubble dress parachutes were paired with wide leg pants.

The designs of Elijah Linh evoked a "St. Tropez" feel during the 1960s, the time when it became a legend. White linen wrap and eyelet dresses represented the yachts seen at the ports and beaches. An emerald green multi color dress stole the show for its vintage lounge flavor.
