Blumarine’s fall collection is a logical continuation of the lavishly flamboyant, opulently chic spring look of the brand. Gemlike colors still define these swanky clothes, while elaborate crystal and fur details amplify their frou frou essence. This particular style is all about fresh, crisp, and flamboyant girly jubilance.

Dressed in her floral print looped hem dresses and embroidered mini cardigans with frilled stand collars; the Blumarine girl is carefree, innocent, and perhaps a little prudish. In the summer she goes yachting at Cowes on the Isle of Wight, but come autumn she heads to the family estate in Great Britain; often enjoying cricket games at Eton. This season, one may find her wardrobe a little out of place, given that the focus of high fashion has been shifting towards minimalist simplicity, constructed with architectural precision. However, the fact of the matter is that our leading lady is glowing with the irresistible nectar of youth and her clothes reflect that uninhibited spirit.

PS. It is absolutely imperative that the new Blumarine see through chiffon skirts be worn over a silk slip. At the end of the day, the appeal of this line is beautiful ingénue, not tasteless over-exposure.
