Paris Spring 2005

PARIS, October 6 - With a beat of a rap soundtrack, Andrew GN sent out his summertime collection on Wednesday morning.

Tweed suits were affixed with fan cut outs and pearl trimming, while tassels and silver lamŽ skirts vied for attention with gold belts, fringe skirts and tulip silhouette pantsuits. The look seemed to hearken back to Gianni Versace for inspiration.

Altering the color scheme to rose and sea foam green didn't really provide much in the way of stylistic variety, though black certainly did.

The bizarre set of billowing caftans took us to some uncertain destination, but perhaps next season that will be clarified.
