Angela Missoni has done a great job of incorporating simpler, cleaner pieces into her highly anticipated collection. Famed for its trademark zigzags, kaleidoscopic prints and swirling motifs in electric hues, Missoni has long been preferred by ladies who demand attention. But hoping to add more minimalist and conservative clients to her bold and exploratory followers, Angela has been broadening her reach. Choosing to counterbalance the electric exuberance of her line with effortless new additions, Mrs. Missoni is striking a chord which rings true across generations and stylistic sensibilities. That is why Missoni’s spring lineup features see through chiffon mini dresses alongside ladylike knit skirt suits. Missoni is indeed one of the few designer labels which can tastefully dress a stylish mother and daughter duo.

Opening boxy with a double-breasted blue pea coat and brown circle skirt ensemble Angela showed that feminine need be overtly sexy. But right after her subdued bid for understated elegance came a striped frilly A-line mini halter dresses with an electric effect. The rest of the show alternated between frilly, flirty, fun pieces and prim & proper looks.

Fashionlines favorites from the Missoni runway are floor length chiffon gowns with knit flower appliqués, little babbly dolls and a wide variety of versatile cardigans, casually draped over show-stopper dresses.
