Before going in to preview a denim line most editors lower their expectations several notches. That is why; the eclectic mélange of stylish clothes Buffalo Jeans showed this season was a welcome surprise. In addition to the wide variety of slashed, distressed, embroidered, embellished, abbreviated and sand blasted denim creations that hit the runway, the BJ collection for the spring also featured flowy tops, vintage t-shirts, knit shrugs and gypsy skirts.

The overall look for Buffalo Jeans was retro cool; Austin Powers meets flower child. Sour and pungent colors like dark mustard, acid purple and moss green helped amplify a nonchalant ‘straight from the thrift store’ effect, while the tasteful use of crochet details and bejeweled necklines precipitated a fancy twist.
