On December 12, 2006, The Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum in New York, will open its new exhibition, “Nan Kempner: American Chic”. The exhibition will showcase legendary socialite, Nan Kempner’s collection of Haute Couture. It will feature clothing from various designers Kempner favored, such as Yves Saint Laurent and Valentino. Kempner has collected haute couture since she was twenty-seven years old, and has acquired 3000 pieces over the years. Only two-hundred pieces will enter the permanent collection at the Metropolitan. Nan Kempner died at the age of 74, on July 2005 and had made collecting Haute Couture her life passion. I believe we can all learn a thing or two about dressing from Nan.

I DESIRE MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THIS EXIBITION.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
BEST REGARDS
