I wish all of you well but hope you will miss this so much you’ll return! by Adele Ray Jun 1, 12:03 PM baby please don’t go by john Jun 1, 04:33 PM Hey!!! by Charlie Jun 1, 05:48 PM NO!!!!!!!!! by L. Michael Mixon Jun 2, 07:18 PM Dear Christine: As New York Editor, I can only say that no, of course I don’t WANT to say good-bye but I will take you up on your offer to leave a message. Needless to say, I will miss contributing to Fashionlines and I will miss Fashionlines. A class act all the way- just like it’s publisher and editor in chief. But you know the saying: “Once a fashion editor, always a fashion editor” so I know that you will resurface and continue spreading the ‘word’ in your infectious manner! Au revoir until later-Marilyn Kirschner by marilyn kirschner Jun 6, 09:03 AM To our beautiful, multi, talanted daughter…... by jane and bob johnson Jun 6, 02:56 PM Paris Adieu It’s been quite a run for Fashionlines since Christine and I met at an Ungaro Couture show in July of 2002. In those days, the handful of Internet editors covering Paris fashion events were always seated together, and as luck would have it, our seats were side by side. The Ungaro show that followed was sublime, one of the final collections signed by Emanuel Ungaro, and that last with dramatic staging. His tribute to the South Pacific included a tapestry of bead dresses that looked light enough to melt on that hot July day. Since then, after five seasons of covering Paris men’s shows, Ready-to-Wear and Haute Couture, through heat waves, arctic cold and rainy springs, after some 400 reviews, feature articles and interviews, my time as Fashionlines’ Paris Editor must necessarily come to an end. I will always keep many fond memories, both of Christine and of the many people I met along the way. In the end, we can all say we did our best, and like Carol Burnett sang at the end of each of her shows, including the final episode in 1978: I’m so glad we had this time together, by Timothy Hagy, Paris Editor Jun 8, 10:48 AM My Dear Christine, and to all those at Fashionlines, Fashionlines has truly been an outstanding addition to the fashion community and in particular to San Francisco. Your site will be missed by many. All my best wishes! Tatiana Sorokko by Tatiana Sorokko, Contributing Editor, Harper's BAZAAR Jun 26, 12:11 PM Christine: I am very sorry to hear you decided to close Fashionlines. It was a first class site with a strong vision and point of view. It will be missed. There is so much uninspired fashion reporting on the Internet, and to lose even one quality site like yours is a big loss.Best regards, Ernest Schmatolla, publisher by Ernest Schmatolls Jun 27, 10:58 AM I would just like to say thank you for being the first and biggest fashion site to put a picture of my dress on your cover page from the Academy of Art University’s spring ‘07 show. It made my life! I am sad to see you go. by Virgil Sparks Jul 1, 11:21 AM Christine, so sorry to see fashionlines go. I enjoyed being a part of fashionlines for the first five years.
