Jeffrey Costello and Robert Tagliapietra, the duo behind the label Costello Tagliapietra, made a name for themselves with their draped jersey dresses (hence their nickname, ‘The Jersey Boys’). They said that their fall collection “is about an inherent elegance. An ode to romanticism and femininity. We looked to women who represented strength and intellectualism. Anne Sexton’s natural elegance and strong sense of womanhood is always an inspiration.”

The well edited and to- the- point simple yet beautifully crafted 24 piece collection of short and long jersey dresses, draped or wrap tops paired with Hepburn inspired trousers or slim draped skirts, was rendered in their signature palette of elegant neutrals (parchment, brown, rust, umber), with nary a print or pattern in sight. It featured items like the rust tie back dress, the brown high neck back wrap dress; the umber long sleeved dress with gathered bust, and an umber tank dress with a center front drape which by the way, make perfect travel pieces because they’re lightweight and pack well and always look great. Many of the outfits were accessorized with Finn raccoon hats and muffs from Saga Furs, who they design a collection for.
