This autumn Scotsmen will invade Milan via Monte Napoleone Avenue. Forget Victorian influences, intellectual dressing and futurist deconstructions; Moschino Rosella Jardini is all about the Highlands.

Setting up the stage for her Brave-Heart meets Manhattan collection with a lineup of kilted hunks in sunglasses, the designer foreshadowed light hearted approach to style. But, despite the whimsical attitude, Jardini’s creations were far from fluff. Her accordion-pleat skirts, abbreviated jackets, pinstriped shirts, plaid pants, shrunken cardigans and belted trench coats were sensible clothes for eclectic taste buds.
