"My Inspiration is the indefinable something that links humans in primeval tribes and urban jungle dwellers-the need to enhance out true selves, to simultaneously celebrate and disguise what creation gave us with decorations of our own," Monah Li proclaimed when describing her Fall 2004 line. Indeed the unusual combination of Monah's

postmodern Bohemian clothes with ingenious painted on bird complexions and yellow dye dipped hands, tapped into the spell of sensual and surreal realms. Reminiscent of the colorful pages of an illustrated fairytale, Li's models strolled down the catwalk clad in multihued mosaic tanks, prim little shrugs, dreamy silk dresses and chic velveteen pants. Overall, Ms. Li's remarkably romantic ensembles, constructed with contrasting fabrics and layering were imaginative yet wearable.

The climactic conclusion of this original collection was delivered by a slinky celadon leather jacket and deep purple dress fusion. Covertly sexy and inventive, this outfit epitomized Monah Li's distinctive look.
