May finds us all over the world, pushing all of our emotional buttons from nostalgic lunch boxes to fiery flamenco. Here are some very choice picks from Fashionlines:

From Paris and Tokyo--for international hipsters only. The Minuít sweater made in collaboration between Kitsuné and Colette, www.colette.com

From Beijing---The distinguished Red Gate Gallery presents Qing Qing Installations through May 23, www.redgategallery.com

From Washington DC--Thermos celebrates its centennial, and the company's history will become part of the Smithsonian Institution. Thermos is donating lunch boxes and vacuum bottles to the permanent collections at the National Museum of American History. An accompanying display, "Taking America to Lunch," will take a lighthearted retrospective look at historic school and workplace lunch kits and vacuum bottles from the 1880s to the 1980s, showcasing the impact they've had on American lives. The display opens this spring and will include such favorites as The Partridge Family lunch box and the classic tartan plaid vacuum bottle. Of course our favorite is the Barbie lunch box!
