Hollywood A List Parties

Peter claims to have been inspired by the 60's icons- Jean Shrimpton and Marisa Berenson, as captured by famed photographer David Bailey, for this baby doll sweet and innocent collection. It's all about "innocence and optimism" as he put it. The best part were the wonderful coats and jackets executed in beautiful fabrics like cotton and wool, and more unexpected menswear suiting fabrics. For Peter, it's all about the mix of "luxe and humble". It was the simpler items that worked best, and when he got into those strange pouffed mini skirts, things got a bit contrived (do we really need another Lacroix bubble skirt revival?).

Standouts were the shrunken lightweight tweed coat worn over bold anemone printed floral dress, (the same print was used for sweet short sleeved blouses with peter pan collars); a pale metallic brocade strapless narrow dress; a coat and cropped pant in a pale gray tropical menswear suiting fabric; and a cropped shrunken jacket with crisp white collar (just forget the overly designed matching 'pouf' skirt that it was shown with). The sweet white eyelet dress that ended the show had several in attendance commenting that it would make a perfect wedding dress.
