Inspired by a recent trip to the desert and the paintings of Georgia O' Keefe, Alice strove to translate the colors and mood into her collection by dividing the clothes into morning, noon, and night. Hence- morning abounded in day-glo colors, noon was marked by sun- shades, and night 'faded' to black. Southwestern motifs were used on a group of dresses, tops, and skirts, and the Georgia O' Keefe paintings of nude women were translated into a print that was used for a group of floor length dresses. Alice also had several takes on the tailored Bermuda short suit (very YSL) that is being seen on the runways.
