SUE WONG

Sue Wong is a master, who stays true to the beauty and integrity of her art. The designer told Fashionlines backstage after showing her Spring 2004 collection, "My work is like a dramatic fashion theater celebrating feminine beauty." Indeed each one of Wong's creations is a tribute to female splendor and magnificence. Drawing elements and inspiration from different eras, styles and cultures Wong dreams up an amalgamation of exquisiteness that represent the Yin and Yang (in other words the duality) of human nature. Wong's simmering "femme fatale" dresses with intricate crinoline bustiers and cut-out lace-up backs, inventive "art moderne" Miro-inspired hand painted gowns and "exotique" cascade hem beaded tie dyed evening wear, all brim with the irresistibility of seduction.
