The paparazzi were going crazy before the show because the daughters of two of the Rolling Stones (not Jade Jagger, however-she is busy now designing jewelry for Garrard in London) were in the audience. But this show was not really about clothes for young rock princesses. The collection was shown by color groupings, whites, ecru, reds, pale greens and lots of pattern. The patterns looked wild, even though they weren't, compared to his earlier use of print. This was a restrained and beautifully conceived collection, a drink of cool water on a very hot day. A pale green cocktail dress stood out for its absolute simplicity and elegance. Couture is about lightness, and this dress was lighter than air.
