Giambattista Valli was in a flamenco mood with ruffled dresses cascading in tiers and off the shoulder looks. It was definitely inspiration from his master, Mr. Ungaro, but with originality. The show heated up when three or four models at a time strode down the catwalk in ruffled, exotic chiffon dresses in different colors. In keeping with the Spanish theme, Valli shows what else—toreador pants, but they looked great with his oversized blouses, not costume-y. John Malkovitch was one of the first on his feet to applaud this breathtaking show.
